Credit Controller

Following our recent expansion, and with plans to further develop client services, we’re now looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join our Internal Finance team to expertly manage trade debts.

Becky DunhillThe successful candidate will be part of a small, hardworking and friendly team, led by Internal Accountant, Becky Dunhill. “This role would suit a highly motivated person, who has some experience of credit control and enjoys hitting targets. Attention to detail and excellent record keeping is essential.

We have fantastic client retention and work hard for that loyalty. You need be a people person who enjoys developing great relationships with clients, being able to form rapport from day one. Credit control can be sensitive – being solution focused and calm under pressure is key.”

Payroll Clerk

We’re seeking an experienced Payroll Clerk to join our Pensions and Payroll Team, to work closely with our Payroll Manager.

The successful candidate will have at least two years’ experience in a similar role and a track record of consistently meeting deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Accounts Manager

Due to internal promotion, we have an opportunity for a dynamic, ambitious qualified ACA or ACCA accountant to join the business and become part of our future success.

Supporting the partners in the senior role of Accounts Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the management of a team of 15 accounts staff (from entry level to Seniors) and the delivery of accounting services.

Apprentice Administration Assistant

Our Administration Team is growing and we’re looking for an Apprentice to start their Admin career with us.

Head of Admin, April Shaw is looking for an individual who has strong written and spoken communication skills, is highly organised and eager to provide outstanding customer service to our clients.

“This is an exciting opportunity for someone to develop their customer service and administration skills in a professional environment. The department is key to the successful day to day running of the business and providing our clients with a great overall experience. The successful candidate will be involved in all areas of Administration and reception including greeting clients face to face and answering the telephones.

Accounts Apprenticeships

Expressions of interest are welcomed for our 2022 intake. Training starts at the Association of Accounting Technicians level, moving on to the Association of Charted Certified Accountants level for which we are an ACCA Approved Employer.

Educated to A Level standard, successful team members are proactive and resourceful, with the maturity required to enter the accountancy profession as a career and committed to ongoing development and education.

Abigail Langan joined the team in our 2021 intake, “I’ve really enjoyed my first year at Lishmans, my knowledge has developed so much since I first joined. I receive a wide range of training on many parts of accounting which might not be possible in an apprenticeship elsewhere.

As well as training from First Intuition at AAT Level 3, I get training and support from my mentor in the team, particularly on accounting software.

We have an amazing team of people who are all so kind and welcoming. There are a lot of team outings to get to know each other and build friendships.”


Mason Allott also joined the team as an apprentice in July 2021, “I’ve enjoyed settling into my role and the first year has been both educational and enjoyable.

The training and development has been very good, with the combination of learning both at college and from my mentor in the team.

The team made me feel welcome straight away and I’m excited for the future.”


Max Swift joined the team as an Accounts Apprentice in August 2021 and is studying at AAT Level 4. “Since joining Lishmans I’ve enjoyed getting to know my colleagues. Everyone is really friendly and welcoming so this makes it much easier to settle in.

My first year has been great! Since joining Lishmans has given me the ability to progress as much as I desire and have supported me in developing my accounting knowledge.

Going into my second year I look forward to developing my abilities further. This will be possible due to all the opportunities provided at Lishmans that help push you towards your goals.”
