Following our previous update on 5th January 2021, please find below notable changes that have been released via gov.uk.

Grants

Further to our business support communication on 5^th January 2021, we have been informed that businesses in the retail, hospitality and leisure sectors will receive the one-off grant worth up to £9,000 per property automatically if they were in receipt of the second lockdown grant.

To confirm, the one-off top-ups will be granted to closed businesses as follows:

• £4,000 for businesses with a rateable value of £15,000 or under
• £6,000 for businesses with a rateable value between £15,000 and £51,000
• £9,000 for businesses with a rateable value of over £51,000

Do not apply if you have applied and received a lockdown grant any time after 14 October 2020. The council will continue to pay you all new entitlements.

If you did not apply for this grant, new applications will be backdated to 14^th October 2020.
